When you are planning a trip for ski vacation, your packing list will need all the ski equipment which is difficult to pack and handle. Also you would think what to pack and what to leave behind; this is the case when going on a vacation. If you are planning a ski vacation it becomes more difficult. If you are taking your own vehicle still it is fine but if you are planning to take the public transport like plane, train or bus it become more of a problem.
You should learn about the resort you are planning to go to find out if they have rental shops where you can rent the ski equipment like skis, boots and poles. And the price of the same if it is a reasonable then you would prefer to rent the equipment then to lug it from your home. This makes packing and traveling much easier.
If you are the one who would want their own equipments and do not much care for rented ones, you should find out if there are shops who would buy the equipments after you are done. This will give you an idea about how much you will get back on the equipment you are planning to buy and then sell. What is the actual moneys you will be spending.
The other ski essentials which are ski suits, ski jackets and sweaters are also very bulky and it does not give enough room for other stuff in your bags. You can ship them separately and ask the resort or hotel you are spending your vacation and ask them to keep it for you when you arrive. You can notify the people at the hotel in advance who will then expect your parcel and hand it over to you when it arrives. You can pack all the stuff in the box and send it to yourself care of the hotel or resort. Usually shipping is done in a day’s time and you can send it earlier and receive it yourself on arrival. Depending on how much the box weighs, you will usually pay less than fifty dollars to ship a package in the continental United States….which is a lot less than you would pay an airline for extra baggage!
